Captive State and Friends at The Slaughtered Lamb
Introduction: Captive State and friends host this Friday residency at The Slaughtered Lamb in Faringdon, London. The night provides a friendly and wholesome atmosphere to see Captive State play live alongside a selection of the UK’s finest up and coming acts.
The Music: Captive State have very broad ranging musical tastes so will be inviting bands, artists and DJs who they are excited to play with. Generally the nights will start with the more acoustic live acts, proceeding to Captive State live, followed by more dance orientated acts and DJs. Each individual night will be carefully curated from start to finish giving a smooth musical progression.
The Setting: The Slaughtered Lamb is a small cosy basement room with a 100+ capacity. The space is square in shape encircled by comfy leather sofas. The bar is to one side with the stage adjacent to the bar. The décor is elegant with attractive wallpaper matching the cosy ambience of this intimate venue. Many added decorations, including plants, drapes and incense will be exclusive to the residency. A highly experienced sound engineer and lighting engineer will be on set at all times.
The Host: Captive State are set to release their debut EP, ‘Elmore Grove’, at the end of May. The 8-piece band have been together for a few years and have recently teamed up with Nick Franglen of Lemon Jelly fame to make the record.
